Guylian, the World’s Favourite Belgian Chocolates, is present at World Expo Shanghai 2010, as part of the Belgian Chocolate Corner in the Belgian Pavilion. Guylian unveils the great taste of our original Belgian Chocolate Sea Shells to millions of Chinese and international visitors.

Four internationally renowned Belgian chocolate brands - Barry Callebaut, Guylian, Godiva and Neuhaus, and in cooperation with the Royal Association of Belgian Chocolate Makers and Confectioners – are presenting the Belgian Chocolate Corner, which is one of the top attractions at the World Expo Shanghai 2010.

A range of glass bells showcases the most reputable Belgian chocolate creations. A movie tells the story of the cocoa bean and visualises the true craftsmanship of Belgian chocolatiers. A total of 70 Belgian artisan chocolatiers are giving live demonstrations of chocolate making for the duration of the Expo, and of course visitors are able to taste the famous Belgian pralines.

At the World Expo Guylian displays its world famous Guylian Belgian Chocolate Sea Shells. These original seashell shaped chocolates are Guylian’s flagship product that is appreciated for its premium quality and great taste in over 100 countries around the globe.

Details of the World Expo Shanghai 2010

This World Expo is taking place in Shanghai - China, from May 1st to October 31st 2010. The Expo site is located at the waterfront area on both sides of the Huangpu River, between Nanpu Bridge and Lupu Bridge. The theme is « Better City, Better Life ». The Shanghai Expo is the biggest World Expo ever with 220 confirmed participants and 70 million visitors expected.

The Guylian Chocolatier Ludwig De Kesel is demonstrating from 1st to 13th June and from 6th to 19th October 2010.

The Belgian Pavilion

The pavilion expresses the great cultural diversity present in all the major cities of Belgium, and the central point of the pavilion is intended to be the meeting place where people experience each other’s cultural references in a unified space that transcends all boundaries.
