Guylian sales
Guylian's chocolates are made exclusively from 100% Belgian chocolate and are sold worldwide in more than 100 countries. Guylian exports to all markets of the European Union, to Asia, Australia and America. We have sales offices in UK, France, Germany, Austria, Portugal and USA. Guylian sales are 94% exported outside Belgium, making exports of vital importance to Guylian.
Guylian chocolates are sold in super- and hypermarkets, multiples, department stores and speciality food stores. During the Christmas period, Guylian is consistently in the top 10 of best selling boxed chocolate brands. Guylian's chocolate creations are also popular during Easter, Valentines, Mother's day or any other holiday in the different markets.
Guylian company figures
Up to 75 tonnes of fine Guylian chocolate specialities per day can be produced in Sint-Niklaas, in a production area measuring 27.000 m². The Guylian group has a total worldwide turnover of 125 million US $ (2008). Guylian is today a leading manufacturer of branded boxed chocolates in Belgium with a team of 250 employees.
Guylian and Lotte Confectionary
In June 2008 Chocolaterie Guylian NV was acquired by Lotte Confectionary Co, Ltd, the Lotte Group's publicly listed subsidiary specializing in confectionery. Lotte Group, originally established as a confectionery company in Japan, is the fifth largest diversified business group in Korea.
Belgian chocolate ambassador
Guylian Chocolate Sea Shells are the n° 1 best distributed Belgian Boxed Chocolates brand in all travel retail/duty free stores worldwide. More than 60% of all international Travel Retail Shops sell Guylian Chocolates. In 2008 Guylian was always ranked within the top 20 of most sold international chocolate brands in Duty Free/Travel Retail and the best performing Belgian chocolates brand (‘).

Guylian is the best sold and distributed Belgian Chocolates brand for the key chocolate markets: USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Holland, Belgium, France, Portugal, New Zealand, Austria and Canada.
Guylian enjoys a high brand awareness in these key chocolate markets. No other Belgian chocolate brand enjoys a higher brand awareness than Guylian outside Belgium. Guylian is not only well known around the world, the brand is also very much liked by its consumers. In the chocolate seashell segment, Guylian is by far the best known and most liked brand (*).
